A Legacy of Craftsmanship, A Journey of Passion

I still remember the scent of freshly cut wood filling the air. It was warm, rich, and full of promise—the smell of something about to come to life. I was only four years old when I first fell in love with furniture, sitting beside my father in his workshop, watching him turn simple materials into something beautiful.

I would stay for hours, fascinated by his every movement, the way he carved, shaped, and smoothed each piece with such care. When the furniture was finished, it was more than a piece of furniture—it was something with soul. Each piece had its own character, its own presence. I didn’t just admire my father’s work; I was inspired by it.

As I grew older, that inspiration turned into a deep passion. I wanted to do more than a line of same-standard furniture—I wanted to create something that felt personal, something that fit the way people truly lived. So, I listened. I studied. I explored different styles from around the world, learning how design evolved over time. I didn’t just focus on aesthetics; I focused on how furniture shapes daily life—how it brings comfort, how it transforms a space, how it becomes part of someone’s story.

Over the years, I worked with well-known companies, collaborated with celebrities, builders, and designers, and crafted remarkable pieces. But after years of working within the industry, I knew it was time for something more. I didn’t want to simply follow industry trends or fit within existing standards—I wanted to redefine them. I wanted to create furniture without limitations, where artistry, functionality, and individuality came together. It was time to build something of my own.

That’s why I founded Solo Home Decor—to break the rules, to craft furniture that adapts to life, not the other way around. Here, design isn’t limited by standard dimensions or mass production. Instead, every piece is created with purpose—whether it’s a statement piece designed to fill a grand living room, a space-saving solution for a small city apartment, or a thoughtfully crafted piece that blends seamlessly into a family’s daily life.

After Solo Home Decor was born, I sought out the most skilled artisans—craftsmen who shared my passion for detail and quality. Together, we bring each design to life, combining traditional techniques with modern creativity. The result is furniture that is not only beautiful but also deeply functional, enhancing the way people live, move, and feel in their space.

More than that, we design with people in mind. A family with toddlers needs something durable and safe, while a couple might want something elegant and intimate. A senior might need furniture that offers extra comfort and support. Furniture isn’t just about looks—it’s about how it makes you feel, how it fits into your everyday life, and how it turns a house into a home.

After 23 years of bringing custom furniture to life, my passion is still the same. I listen to my clients carefully, understanding their needs to create pieces that bring both comfort and beauty into their homes. Whether it’s finding the right fabric for a busy household, designing a structure that maximizes space, or creating a timeless piece that will be cherished for years, every decision is made with care.

And now, after all these years, I can sit with a warm cup of coffee next to my father, reminiscing about our journey—the lessons we’ve learned, the homes we’ve helped shape, and the love for craftsmanship that still connects us. But I don’t stop here—there’s always another story to create, another home to bring to life, and another piece waiting to be made.

I spent months researching and meeting with interior designers and none compared with Sigal. She listened to my needs and respected my budget unlike others trying to upsell. She delivered a beautiful couch and two re-upholstered chairs that we spent months on going back and forth on fabric and materials. She never lost her patience with me and delivered what she promised. The furniture is just beautiful!

I recently had my 3 piece, U-shaped, 9 seat sectional reupholstered by Sigal. After speaking to Sigal on the phone, we made an appointment for her to come to my house. She brought the exact colors and type of fabrics she knew I would like. Sigal's estimate to reupholster my sectional was far less than other estimates and I had my sectional back in two weeks, as promised. Sigal was so easy to work with and I really liked her. If you're looking to reupholster or have something custom-made, look no further! You will not be disappointed and you won't be over charged.
